“I found the Bandologie website while researching on the internet and I was very sceptical at first. There are just so many self-declared gurus on the net who all want to make a killing.After having a look at the various free information, however, it looked quite likeable and reasonable to me so I ordered the book. Up until now this was the best invested money I ever invested in my career as a musician! Especially now that our band just started out we've got the chance to do (just about) everything right the first time :-)
Mr. Kolonko writes in a laid-back and catchy style, just as if you'd talk to a buddy of yours. I read through the book within one day and then passed it on to our guitarist. In our band the book is a required reading now, to be sure that we all have the same goals and the same way in mind.
Many things from the book where kind of familiar to me from my gut feeling and I did some of it right with earlier bands, but getting all of this set out in this clear and understandable way, somehow switched on my turbo.
Result:
1. Plenty of great ideas that are getting implemented right now.
2. Our first !! gig is right on a festival with huge bands. (And not as an opener, but before the headliner!)
3. We are already selling shirts and other merch! (Without a gig so far!)
4. We've got a nice groop of people (fans?) that are totally with us!
However: Those who don't have the guts to work hard on this, invest time and really buckle down, also won't have much success with this book in the bookshelf.”
